The Living Rulebook outlines the exact procedures on how to think, what to believe in, and ultimately - how to stay ordinary. Always think inside the box, use reason and reason only - because human emotion leads to flawed logic and decisions. Spare yourself from any form of subjectivity, and whatever you do - do not try to find meaning in life.

This book portrays the argument between two fundamentally different approaches to life - (radical) rationalism and existentialism. The first is presented trough the book in a sequence of rigidly constructed text, spare use of color and imagery. The latter is portrayed trough a series of charcoal and paint brush scribbles that were written on top of the text. Battle between rigid and expressive, objective and subjective.
